Mobile Connect with Your Residents

Area residents simply download the CONNECTLocal app from the Apple or Android App Store and subscribe to your channel. Instantly, they are added to your Channel Subscriber List and connected with your agency through CONNECTLocal’s platform. You can now send mobile messages to them and they can mobile message your agency, plus much more!

CivicAlert Notifications

CivicAlert is an immediate mobile communication solution that allows you to reach your citizens, visitors and employees, through a Push Notification to their mobile device. Whether communicating routine or important news, CivicAlert allows you to quickly, distribute your information about road closures, trash pickup, school closings and more.

You can send unlimited CivicAlert Notifications to CONNECTLocal App Users at No-Charge. The system also allows you to enter the cellphone numbers of non-App Users to your subscriber list; these subscribers will simultaneously receive a copy of your message through SMS. (Nominal SMS carrier charges apply)

Content Modules

Each CivicChannel is a unique, separate network on CONNECTLocal’s platform which includes four content modules to organize and showcase your community content. Key Modules include:

Civic News Feed

Your NewsFeed displays posts about current activities, events, and news taking place in your community. The Feed makes it easy for Channel Subscribers to find all your important news in one convenient place. Notify them about events, meetings, committee progress, raffles, videos and more!

With higher read and click-thru rates than email, harness the mobility of your Channel Feed’s colorful graphics & text posts to tell your organization’s story. You can setup multiple user accounts to allow every department in your organization to post content to your feed.

Posts can go live instantly or be scheduled to appear at a later date. By default, your posts will also appear in CONNECTLocal’s main network. This means that all CONNECTLocal Users in your area will see your content even if they haven’t subscribed to your CivicChannel. You simply mark the post “Private” when you don’t want it to appear outside your Channel.

Civic Event Calendar

Your EventCalendar displays information about upcoming activities & events that will take place in the near future; typically one to three months. You can grant access to post to the EventCalendar to anyone you choose; including those inside or outside your organization. By default, your posts will also appear in CONNECTLocal’s main network. This means that all CONNECTLocal Users in your area will see your content even if they haven’t subscribed to your CivicChannel. You simply mark the post “Private” when you don’t want an event to appear outside your Channel.

Civic Business Directory

Your BusinessDirectory showcases the local businesses in your community. Each business receives a FREE Profile which highlights their contact information, description, web properties, photographs, reviews and more. Local business can upgrade their membership for enhanced features which may create a revenue stream for your Civic Agency. Businesses are also automatically placed into CONNECTLocal’s main network which means they receive exposure to both your Channel Subscribers and all CONNECTLocal Users in your area.

Local Offers Directory

The local OffersDirectory showcases coupons & specials from area businesses. Providing a high-value proposition to both your residents and local business’ the OffersDirectory organizes money-saving local offers into one place. Local area businesses will appreciate the free promotion and residents will appreciate the savings. Local business offers are automatically placed into CONNECTLocal’s main network which means their offers will be accessible to both your Channel Subscribers plus all CONNECTLocal Users in your area.

    Desktop Inbox

    Your MobileCONNECT Inbox is the place to view, manage, and reply to, inbound messages.

    When a User sends a text message to your business it appears in the Dashboard Inbox. This allows you to respond to messages from any desktop PC.

    Simply open your Dashboard to the Inbox and let it run in the background. Your computer will audibly ring every 7 seconds whenever a new message arrives.

    VIP Subscriber List

    The VIP Subscriber List is where you can view and manage your Subscribers.

    There are 3 ways Users can join your list:

    1. Clicking the Connect Icon on your company profile.
    2. SMS Keyword Signup
    3. Direct Entry

    Clicking the message icon next to a particular Subscriber allows you to send a 1to1 message to that Subscriber.

    Free In-App Messaging

    MobileCONNECT allows you to send unlimited In-App messages absolutely free.

    In-App messages can be sent with Push Notification so that Users are notified of the new message regardless if they have the CONNECTLocal App open or closed.

    Broadcast Messaging

    Regardless if your list has 10 Subscribers or thousands, you can broadcast a message to the entire list at once.

    You choose if you want to send to the list In-App only which is 100% free or if you would like to send via text message. (SMS message rates apply)

    In-App messages have the option to send with a Push Notification so users are notified in a similar manner they would when sent via text message.

    Connect Icon

    The Connect icon is show in the CONNECTLocal app on your business profile.

    Clicking the Connect Icon allows users to join your VIP list without having to SMS text your keyword.

    Once connected, your business is immediately added to the User’s Connections List inside the CONNECTLocal App.

    Keyword Signup

    The keyword signup allows Users to join your VIP List by texting your Keyword to either 844-307-3500 or 866-866-7109.

    For example, if you were a pizza shop your keyword might be “PIZZA”. Whenever a User texts the word PIZZA to 844-307-3500 or 866-866-7109 they are automatically added to your VIP list.

    New Subscribers are auto-sent your custom “Welcome Message” and are also invited to download the CONNECTLocal app. When Subscribers download the app they receive better access to their community and you are able to send them in-app messages for FREE!

    Direct Signup

    The Direct Entry function of the VIP Connect List allows you to manually add a new member to your list.

    Number Cloaking

    Reasons we can’t text most businesses include business owners do not want to give out their personal phone number or carry two different phones.
